UPDATE: From 8th August 2020, you are required to use a face mask in all Public areas of the Hotel as per Government Guidelines.
Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our team and customers. In light of the recent developments surrounding COVID-19, we feel it’s important to provide information and update you on measures we are implementing.
Due to current guidelines, we are currently unable to offer our cooked full English buffet breakfast. We have made 'Grab n Go' breakfast bags available to all our guests with a bed and breakfast reservation. If your reservation does not include breakfast, you are able to purchase these for £3 per person from reception. Our 'Grab n Go' breakfast bags will be available to collect from reception from 6 am every day. Our breakfast bags include (Items may change) - A piece of fruit, yoghurt, breakfast bar, mini muffin and a bottle of juice.
We have made changes to our bar area. The bar is still open from 11am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and from 12pm to 10:30pm on Sunday. Drinks must be ordered from the bar, once you have been served, please take your drink to one of the designated seating areas either at the front of the hotel or in the dining area. You are also able to take drinks back to your room. Chairs and tables have been spaced out to comply with current social distancing guidelines. We have implemented a one-way system for our inside seating area, please observe the signage and follow the directions. We are currently not serving hot drinks from the bar, tea and coffee making facilities are still available in all rooms.
Steps we are taking
We are ensuring good hygiene procedures and particularly, regular and thorough hand cleaning is adopted by the whole team. we are also regularly cleaning surfaces & handles with disinfectant.

Like all businesses, we are continuing to follow and monitor official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England carefully. It Is of vital importance for us to be in a position to ensure that any and all procedures are in place to support the health and well-being of our guests and staff alike.
To help combat the spread of COVID-19, we have put even more precautionary and safety measures in place. We are following Choice Hotels International 'Commitment to Clean Program' as well as electing a 'Commitment to Clean Captain'. All our team members have been trained in line with Choice Hotels and government guidelines to effectively deal with these unusual times. All our risk assessments are under constant review to enable us to implement the best possible practices for the safety of all our guests and team members.
- Making staff aware of prevention
- Emphasizing even more frequent and proper handwashing
- Regularly cleaning all areas with appropriate cleaning chemicals.
- Providing hand sanitiser in and around the hotel public areas and encouraging all staff and guests to use.
- Screens have been installed in our Reception and Bar area.
- Guest Arrival letters with relevant information have been created which will be given to you on arrival to reduce check-in times.
- If you require a VAT receipt for your stay, please provide reception with your correct email address for us to send electronically, to limit contact.
